The Greatest Day Ever. Really.

This week, much of my top five things from the week have to do with work - which I guess isn't a bad thing, as it meant this week at work was pretty good... So there's that. Without further ado, here they are:

1. I had to videotape myself for work - just for myself to watch. I happened to tape an eighth grade class where I delivered my best zinger to date. I literally got applause from my class after delivering an epic comeback to a sassy student.

2. I survived our first C-team basketball game - and we won, 20-2! Okay, so sixteen of my team's points were scored by one girl who should be on the 8th grade B team, but whatever. We had our fair share of playing defense while on offense and running with the ball, so there's still that.

3. My seventh grade classes did blackout poetry this week, an idea I jacked from Pinterest, and it was an epic success. My sample poem, "Rodeo Drive" was made from an article about World of Warcraft. It was a fantastic project that I'll blog about next week.

4. For the Superbowl on Sunday, I stayed home and had a low-key night with a margarita and some delicious guac. Yum.

5. I had a Groupon (thanks, Mom!) for cupcakes that expires next week, so I am picking some up after school today. Gluten-free for me, regular for my Bachelor-watching friends, so we can down sugar at roughly the same rate those contestants down their alcohol.

5.5. I got some exciting news last night that I'm going to hold off on sharing until it's official official later on today (hopefully), but look for it Monday. :) Plus I spent three hours on the phone with my best friend last night. Solid.

Anyway, that's my week! What's been great in your last week? Come back Monday for the GBU with me and Kate!

  2. Ha, please tell me you'll share the video? I love it when kids are put in their place too. They're too bratty these days, someone needs to tell them to knock it off! xoxo
